14 policemen injured in Srinagar militant attack: police

Srinagar: At 14 policemen were injured, four of them, critical, in a militant attack at Zewan area of Srinagar on Monday, officials said.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that militants fired indiscriminately at the vehicle of 9th battalion Indian Reserve Police at Zewan area on Pantha Chowk-Khonmoh road in which seven 14 policemen sustained injuries of which the condition of a few is stated as critical.

“All the injured have been referred to hospital for treatment,” he said, adding that the area has been cordoned off and a massive search launched to nab the attackers—(KNO)
