Srinagar: Two persons, including a motorcyclist, were killed while another person was injured in two separate road accidents in south Kashmir district of Kulgam on Monday.
Official sources said that the man was hit and critically wounded by a Dumper near Mirpora Ashmuji in Kulgam on this afternoon. ”The injured, identified as Rayees Ahmad, was immediately taken to a local hospital where he was declared brought dead,” they said.
They said after completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites. ”Police have registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident,” they added.
In another incident, a vehicle and a motorcycle collided with each other near Aharbal in DH Pora, Kulgam this afternoon, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and his pillion mate. ”The injured were immediately taken to a hospital, where the motorcyclist, identified as Suhaib Ahmad, succumbed,” they said.
They said police have registered a case and initiated investigation in the incident. ”After competing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites,” they added.(UNI)
