6 family members arrested for attacking teenage girl in Budgam: Police
Jammu and Kashmir Police in central Kashmir’s Budgam have arrested six members of a family for attacking a neighboring family and assaulting a teenage girl, whose condition is stated to be critical in the hospital.
“The scuffle took place between two families over a dispute involving the construction of an interior road in Bonmuqam Magam village of Budgam,” police said.
Police said that the family of Abdul Khaliq Parray attacked the family of Abdul Rashid Parray.
“During the attack, a 17-year-old daughter of Abdul Rasheed Parrey was hit on the head with some blunt object causing injuries to her. The injured was shifted to SDH Magam and later referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar where her condition is stated to be serious,” police said.
Police said that six assailants have been arrested and a formal FIR vide number 64/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police station Magam.
Police said that investigation is underway and more arrests are expected. (KNT)
