9 militants, 2 non-local workers killed in J&K in November
Nine militants including three infiltrators were killed in November this year in Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the data available with a local news agency, Kashmir News Trust (KNT), four local militants, and two nationals from Pakistan were killed in four gunfights in the month of November.
A militant Shakir Ahmed of Ladermund was killed in the Semthan Bijbehara gunfight in the Anantnag district.
Three militants Mukhtyar Bhat of Kakapora Pulwama, Saqlain Mushtaq of Koil Pulwama and a Pakistani militant (Ali Mubasir) were killed in Khandipora Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Besides, an Over Ground Worker (OGW) Sajad Tantray of Kulgam who as per police was allegedly involved in the attack on migrant workers was killed in militant firing when he was with them to identify a militant hideout in the Chek Dudo Bijbehara area of Anantnag.
A Pakistani militant Kamran Bhai was killed in Kapran’s gunfight in the Shopian district.
Three infiltrators were killed in three separate incidents in Poonch Sector, Kalal area of Nowshera sector in Rajouri and in Arina Sector.
Militants struck twice in November resulting in the death of two migrant workers.
A migrant worker Bahadur Thapa (42) son of Gaman Singh of Nepal was killed while another worker from Bihar sustained injuries after militants fired upon them in the Bondialgam area of Anantnag district.
In another attack, two outside labourers Chota Prasad and Govind Kumar, both residents of Gorakhpur, UP were injured after militants fired upon them in Rakh-e-Moomin area of Anantnag. Later on, Chota Prasad succumbed to his injuries.
Eleven persons including nine militants and two migrant workers were killed in November. Last month in October, there were 15 human casualties including ten militants, a cop, army personnel, and three civilians. [KNT]
