JK Teachers Forum hails education department for introducing ‘revolutionary’ initiatives in department

An emergency session of JK Teachers Forum was held at Srinagar which was Presided over by Chairman JKTF Mohd Rafique Rather.The meeting was attended by President JKTF Mohd Afzal Bhat and all central, Provincial and District leaders.


Meeting was organised in the back drop of recent meetings of the leadership with commissioner Secretary Education and DSEK in which some important issues were highlighted and redressal was sought on priority from the officers at helm of affairs.

Speakers in the meeting raise some important issues of their concerned districts and other issues which pertain to teaching fraternity in general.

Confirmation of 2014 bath masters was raised by almost all speakers and leadership was urged upon to get this long pending issued addressed at an earliest.
Other issues which were highlighted by the speakers are, Posting of Headteachers on clear vacancies, redressal of overlaping issue of RRets, Filling up of vacant posts of HMs, Posting of RRets as per SAC order 2018., Speedy disposal of TB cases and GPF cases, promotion of teachers to masters.TA in favour of teaching staff engaged with community classes and other issues of vital importance.


Speakers on the occassion expressed utmost satisfaction on the working of central body and extended unflinching support to its leadership and said that leadership has made them to feel proud by dent of their sincere and bold efforts in highlighting the problems of teachers.


On the occassion President JKTF Mohd Afzal Bhat gave a detailed description of the issues of teaching and non teaching fraternity taken up by the leadership with officers of the department and expressed satisfaction that most of the issues have been resolved.

He said that leadership of JKTF is committed to serve the community with sincerity and honesty and assured the leadership present in the meeting that they will not be left alone in a situation where our services are more needed then ever. Praising the efforts of Chairman JKTF , Mr Bhat said that he is highly impressed by the courage and dedication displayed by the chairman during difficult times and expressed hope that he with continue to put in his best for the welfare of teaching community and Employees fraternity in general.

Mr.Bhat louded the role of deligates, ZP,s and DP’s in strengthening the organisation at gross root level and added that young leaders should benefit themselves from the experience of seniors.

Chairman JKTF Mohd Rafique Rather while speaking in the meeting thanked leadership of all cadres for their support and cooperation and added that it was due to their support that the organisation flourished in short span of time and spread over to nook and corner of JK.He said that leadership is committed to safe guard the service interests of employees of all cadres of the department and added that he will not shy away from raising the issues confronting teaching community which hamper their working in schools. He said that despite unfavourable conditions ledership of jktf has tried its best to work selflessly and to serve the community to its satisfaction.He said that its because of the untiring and selfless efforts of JKTF leadership that allmost all cadres of education department have acknowledged and appreciated the work put in for the redressal of some long pending issues at Directorate level.


Praising efforts of DSEK Dr Tassaduq for speedy disposal of pending issues, Rather said that education department in general is feeling satisfied and relieved by pro employee attitude of worthy DSEK and added that JKTF should extend its support and cooperation to Dr. Tassaduq Mir for bring in more efficiency and transparency in the system.


Chairman JKTF Mohd Rafique Rather stressed upon younger leadership to come forward to share more and important responsibility in the organisation and added that he is committed to his famous slogan of Democracy, transparency and accountability.
