COVID-19: Two brothers’ in Shopain escape quarantine centre, brought back
Srinagar: Two brothers, who escaped from a COVID-19 quarantine centre in Shopian district on Tuesday, were brought back and booked by the police, officials said today.
Officials told that two brothers Anayat Ahmed Khanday and Muhammad Ashraf Khanday who are residents of Malikbugh village of Shopian, fled from the quarantine centre. After being informed about the incident, a police team immediately started tracing the duo and brought them back after finding them at their home the same evening, they said.
Official said that despite knowing that the COVID-19 can be fatal, they negligently and deliberately left the quarantine centre increasing the risk of spreading the disease. A case has been registered against them, they said. (KNT)
