Fiery century by Tayyab Tahir, followed by a three-wicket haul from Sufiyan Muqeem guided Pakistan A to a massive 128-run victory over India A in the Emerging Asia Cup 2023 final on Sunday in Colombo.
Once Pakistan posted a mammoth 352 for eight courtesy Tahir’s 108 off 71 balls, the result was in no real doubt. India made a fist of it, but ended up at 224 all out in 40 overs to suffer their first defeat in this tournament.
Earlier, asked to bat first, Pakistan A started off on a brilliant note as openers Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan smashed 59 and 65 runs, respectively.
Later, Tahir brought up his ton, followed by Mubasir Khan scoring 35 runs
