Budgam: The independent DDC candidate, who recently contested DDC elections from Khansahab Budgam district complained that the LG administration and Chief Election Commissioner (CEO) are non-serious about the DDC candidates as they have not been provided proper security and access to meet their people even after the culmination of DDC elections.
Jammu Kashmir Peoples Front (JKPF), Firdous Nabi expressed his anguish against the alleged abduction of DDC Members by the government. He said, “Even after the election, we are not allowed to meet our people who showed faith in us by voting for us.”
Firdous also mentioned that educated youth have tried to participate in the democratic process but he alleged that they are denied a conducive atmosphere for emerging as the youth icon and trendsetters for the welfare of society.
He also said that the election was staged as drama to favour the particular parties. During the election time, the movement was curbed under the garb of security threat.
“Undertaking were taken from us, as we will be wholly responsible for our movement but still after signing it we were not allowed to move outside” he claimed.
Meanwhile, He appealed to the youth of Kashmir not to opt for mainstream politics as it is like abduction and nothing else.
