SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JK DMA) has issued an avalanche warning for the regions above 2400 meters in Bandipora, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch, and Ramban districts.
The danger level is assessed as MEDIUM, and residents are strongly urged to exercise caution, avoiding travel to avalanche-prone areas for the next 24 hours.
The JKDMA stressed the importance of taking necessary precautions, advising people in these districts to refrain from venturing into risky zones until further notice. “For assistance, dial 112, and stay updated,” reads the statement.
