Kulgam: Suspected militants on Tuesday evening shot dead a Sarpanch in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Official Sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com -(KDC) that suspected militants tuesday late evening fired upon a Sarpanch affiliated with Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP).
Meanwhile, Sarpanch was immediately shifted to Qazigund hospital from where doctors shifted him to GMC Anantnag. However he succumbed to injuries on way to GMC.
They identified the deceased BJP sarpanch as Arif Ahmad of Akhran Mir Bazar area of Kulgam.(KDC)
