The Cashmere Foundation, headed by Mir Salim, organized an event ‘Women Of Wisdom’ in Shopian on 20 December to spread awareness about women’s empowerment.
The event was marked by prominent females from Jammu and Kashmir. The chief guest was renowned Social activist Mir Salman, statement said.
It further reads, “The motive of this event was to provide a platform for the young emerging talent of Shopian.”
The event consists of different performances such as skits, songs, speeches.
“We estimated an audience of around 100 people. COVID-19 protection protocols have been followed on the event,” the statement reads.
This event will further remark the beginning of a chain of events in shopian.
“The main focus of the event was to give women a chance to speak about the contemporary evils faced by them and teach them methods to go ahead in life,” the statement said.
