Leh: Deputy Commissioner / Chairperson, District Task Force (DTF) for Covid-19 Vaccination, Leh, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse today convened a meeting to review the progress of the Covid-19 vaccination drive in Leh district.
District Immunisation Officer, Dr Tashi Namgial, gave a presentation on the progress of the Covid-19 vaccination drive in the district. He also apprised DC/Chairperson DTF about the achievements and targets for the early completion of the vaccination drive, and the steps taken by the Health Department to inoculate the beneficiaries. DIO Dr Tashi and Chief Medical Officer, Leh, Dr Motup Dorje, apprised DC Leh of internet connectivity issues in remote areas, including Nyoma and Chumathang.
DC/ Chairperson DTF directed the concerned officials to spread awareness about the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination of senior citizens and people above 45 years with comorbidities. He also directed the concerned officials to form village-level mobilisation teams to raise awareness about the vaccination drive among the people.
