In a disturbing incident, police in Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir, arrested Mohammad Bashir Chowdhary for allegedly raping his 17-year-old daughter.
The arrest followed a complaint received by the Police Post Teryath, revealing the heinous act committed by the accused, a resident of Panglar village in Khawas Rajouri.
The police took swift action, registering a case (FIR No. 08/2024) under sections 376 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 4/6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at PS Dharamsal.
