J&K Police is given ‘free access’ to monitor anti-national elements on social media

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have stepped up their efforts to stop the exploitation of social media sites for activities that are hostile to India. Police department sources have verified that they are tracing the IP addresses of anyone who engage in such anti national activities.

What sets this initiative apart is the direct cooperation the Jammu and Kashmir Police have secured from social media giants, including WhatsApp, X (formerly known as Twitter), Snapchat, Instagram, Telegram, and TiTok etc…. This collaboration has granted the authorities access to information concerning those who exploit these platforms to spread anti-national sentiment, reported news agency KDC.
