Normalcy in J&K ‘Merely a Prank’: Omar Abdullah
SRINAGAR: National Conference Vice-President and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah criticised the claims of normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir, dismissing them as a “mere prank.”
He attributed the perceived lack of peace to the frequent encounters happening throughout the region.
Abdullah accused the BJP-led government of delaying ULB, Panchayat, and Assembly elections due to their apprehension about the National Conference’s presence.
In response to questions, he expressed confidence in convincing people to support the NC in upcoming elections, stating that the party is actively engaging with the public.
Additionally, Omar Abdullah mentioned that the party’s leadership would carefully consider and select a suitable candidate for the forthcoming Parliamentary polls in north Kashmir. (KNS)
