Former Chief Minister of the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti Friday said that authorities disallowed her from visiting the deceased Pandit family in central Kashmir’s district Budgam and put her under house detention.
“Wanted to visit Budgam to express my solidarity with Kashmiri pandits protesting against GOIs failure to protect them. Have been put under house arrest as the fact that Kashmiri muslims & pandits empathise with each other’s pain doesn’t fit into their vicious communal narrative,” Mufti tweeted.
On Thursday, police said that the gunmen fired upon the migrant employee identified as Rahul Bhat, an employee in the local Tehsil office, at Chadoora this afternoon.
He was immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital Chadoora wherefrom he was shifted to SMHS hospital here for specialized treatment but later on succumbed to his injuries.
