Srinagar: People’s Conference has emerged as the single largest party in two districts of Kashmir Valley.
The party has emerged as the single largest party in Kupwara and Baramulla districts of North Kashmir. According to figures, PC has won five seats in Kupwara, followed by National Conference won four, independent candidates won two, Awami Ithad Party (AIP) won one, and Apni Party won one.
In the neighboring Baramulla district, PC has won three seats, followed by Congress, Apni Party, National Conference and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) two each.
Three independent candidates have also won in the district. PC chairman Sajad Gani Lone and it’s General Secretary Imran Reza Ansari had vigorously campaigned for party candidates in the north Kashmir. (KNO)
