Police recover narcotics worth Rs 65 Crore in Kupwara
Srinagar: Police have recovered narcotics worth Rs 65 Crore from two persons in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Pertinently, police team had earlier this month seized narcotics and cash from the residential house of a Handwara man in Bemina area of Srinagar city.
Police had recovered 21 KG Heroine worth Rs 100 Crore and 1.34 crore Indian currency while had arrested main accused Iftikhar Andrabi.
Reliable sources told news agency KNT that police arrested two persons and recovered narcotics worth Rs 65 Crore from their possession today. Sources added that both the persons have been arrested and they are being questioned.
SSP Kupwara, Shri Ram Ambedkar told KNT they are going to address a press conference at 4 pm today and all the details will be shared with the media. He, however, confirmed the arrest of duo and said that narcotics worth Rs 65 Crore have been seized from them. He added that some arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the possession of these two persons. (KNT)
