Independent councilor Abid Salam of Baramulla on Friday denied reports of joining BJP. He dismissed them as “baseless rumours.”
“Some people are spreading rumours about me that I have joined BJP, this is baseless,” Abid said.
He added, “I along with my mother contested the municipal polls Independently for the people of Baramulla.”
“I will continue fight for the people of Baramulla without the supports of any political parties that have used people of Kashmir throughout the history for theirs own benefits,” Abid Said.
He added, that he had joined the politics to fight the political system that is based on narrow and family dominated leadership recruitment patterns. He added, “I am grossroot political activist and I will fight for grossroot issues.”
