President Baramulla Municipal Council Omar Kakroo today lost a no-confidence motion that was moved against him by several councilors of Baramulla Municipal Council.
In the floor test, 10 among 19 counselors supported the no-confidence motion against Umar Kakro while three chose to stay away.
Out of the 19-votes, 10 went against Omar Kakroo. Thus, losing the no-confidence motion.
Vice-Chairman BMC Mudasir Tantray will remain as caretaker of Chairmanship till the new chairman will be elected.
During the no-confidence motion, the situation remained peaceful.
