Shopian: In a significant milestone for healthcare in the region, Dr. Abdul Rashid Paray and his dedicated team at PHC Herman, along with Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad and his committed staff at PHC Sedow, have achieved the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification.

NQAS, shorthand for National Quality Assurance Standards, is a rigorous certification program in India that assesses and acknowledges the quality of services provided by healthcare facilities.

The successful certification of PHC Herman and PHC Sedow underscores their adherence to stringent healthcare standards set by the government, ensuring enhanced healthcare delivery.

The collaborative efforts displayed by both PHC Herman and PHC Sedow are truly commendable.

It is noteworthy that among healthcare facilities in the entire Union Territory, only two Primary Health Centers (PHCs) qualified for the NQAS certification, and both are situated in District Shopian.
