Sopore family accuses nurse not attended patient

Sopore: A family in Sopore has accused a nurse at Sub-District Hospital Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district for not attending their patient for an hour whose condition later worsened.
A-35-year old pregnant lady of Sopore was brought to Sub-District Hospital this evening for the check up.
“But the nurse available there did not see for 90 minutes. The nurse told us that she is having tea. Later another doctor came forward to see her and the patient fell down on the ground,” a family member told.
After an hour of wait, a doctor came forward to see the patient while a nurse who was present at the hospital despite requests didn’t bother to check her, ” Family claimed.
They said ,“We were made to wait for an hour as the nurse present at the hospital did not attend here till her condition worsened and we were forced to move to Baramulla district hospital.”
While contacted BMO Sopore Asif Khandey, he assures that he will look into the issue and if the nurse found guilty will be dealt strictly.
