Srinagar to have first satellite town: LG Sinha
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Wednesday said that Kashmir’s Srinagar district will have the first satellite town.
“The credit for that goes to the housing and urban development department and Srinagar Development Authority (SDA). This was the dream of the people of Srinagar that will now be fulfilled,” he said.
The LG said that after medi-city project, satellite town is the second biggest step taken by the government.
He inaugurated Satellite Township and Sehzar Apartments Srinagar today at a function organized at SKICC, Srinagar.
Among others present at the occasion were Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta, officials of the administration and Kashmir Development Authority.
LG Sinha, in his address on the occasion, also apprised about the ongoing developmental projects in J-K.
