The 25-year-old youth, who was shot at and injured by unknown gunmen in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar on Wednesday evening, succumbed at a hospital, official said.
Confirming it, Medical Superintendent SMHS Hospital Dr Kawaljeet Singh told a local news agency, Global News Service (GNS) the youth, Umar Ahmad, was brought dead to the hospital.
It was not immediately known as to why the youth, shopkpeer by profession, was shot at.
A police officer confirmed the incident and said that investigations have been started.(GNS)
