Three areas declared as red zone in Pulwama

Pulwama: District authorities in Pulwama on Thursday declared Samboora along with its habitations Karnabal and Alochibagh Tehsil Kakapora as Red zone and its adjoining Villages Patal Bagh,Bujibagh and Hatiwara as a buffer zones in view of a COVID-19 Positive Test Report of a person running a Medical store near PHC Kakapora.
Apart from Rohmoo, Gusso and Frasipora villages of Tehsil Rajpora and Reshipora ,Chirat, Monviji, Banderpora Chirat, Wandakpora, Kakapora Town of Tehsil Kakapora have already been declared Red zones.
Whereas during the vigorous contact tracing exercise conducted by block level contact tracing teams, it has transpired that a medical practitioner has turned out to be a primary contact of the infected person.
Reportedly the primary contact medical practitioner of COVID -19 Positive person has treated scores of patients from village Samboora and has increased the likelihood of mass contact in Samboora and adjoining areas.
District Authorities said that there would be no inward and outward movement of any person from the villages declared as Red zone and the people shall stay indoors to ensure complete lockdown.
Authorities also warned of stern action against violators as per provision of relevant Acts. Invoking prohibitory orders under Epidemic Diseases Act 1897, Section 144 of the CrPC and Disaster Management Act, 2005.
Authorities added that door to door survey has been started by village surveillance and containment committees and all the contacts are being traced and quarantined accordingly.
District Authorities directed the officials concerned to ensure supply of essential commodities as per laid down protocols in the villages falling in Red Zones and Buffer zones.
