Top Maoist leader Milind Teltumbde among 26 naxals killed in Gadchiroli encounter: Maharashtra Home Minister
Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil stated on Sunday that top maoist commander Milind Teltumbde, who is also an accused in the Bhima Koregaon case, was among 26 naxals killed in the gunfight in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli yesterday reported Asian News International (ANI).
“At least 26 naxals were killed in the encounter in Gadchiroli yesterday – 20 men and 6 women. Gadchiroli Police has confirmed that it also included Milind Teltumbde (top naxal Commander and an accused in Bhima Koregaon case),” quoting HM Patil, ANI reported.
As per the report, Patil further informed that the 26 killed maoists also included – Mahesh Shivaji Raoji Gota with a reward of 16 lakh rupees on him, Bhagatsingh/Pradip/Tilak Mankur Jade with 6 lakh rupees on them, Lokesh Mangu Podyam with 20 lakh rupees on his head and Sannu Kovachi with a reward of 8 lakh rupees on his head.
“A search operation is still underway. Out of all the bodies that have been recovered, some have been identified, some are yet to be done,” Patil said.
