Anantnag: Police registered a case after a man was found hanging at his home in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A police official told KNT that a 33 year old man identified as Fayaz Ahmed Tantray son of Abdul Salam was found hanging in his house at Watnad area of Kokarnag.
Though family members shifted him to hospital, he was however, declared brought dead. “The reason why he took this extreme step is not known yet,” said the police official that a case has been registered and investigation set into motion.
Meanwhile, in Sarna area of the same district, a driver hanged himself to death. Police official said that 38 year old man, identified as Rayees Ahmed Wani, a driver by profession was found hanging his room at Sarnal Bala, KP Road, Anantnag.
He said that after the completion of all medico-legal formalities, dead body was handed over to the next of the kin for last rites. “Proceedings under section 174 CrPC has been initiated,” he added. (KNT)
